These honey baked ham sliders with cranberry mustard are quick, easy, and perfect for any occasion. Made with Hawaiian rolls, ham, Swiss cheese, and a sweet-tangy cranberry mustard, they’re a crowd-pleasing comfort food that comes together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (1 package)
  • 1 pound thinly sliced honey baked ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Make the cranberry mustard: In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce, 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the rolls: Without separating the individual rolls, slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread about half of the cranberry mustard evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  5. Fold the thinly sliced ham in half and layer it evenly over the mustard-covered rolls.
  6. Place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham.
  7. Spread the remaining cranberry mustard on the cut side of the top half of the rolls. Place the top half over the cheese, cut side down. Press down gently.
  8. Make the honey butter glaze: In a small bowl, melt 4 tablespoons unsalted butter. Stir in 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (if using). Whisk until smooth.
  9. Generously brush the honey butter glaze over the tops of the rolls.
  10. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-8 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the glaze is bubbling.
  12. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Use a sharp knife to cut between the rolls, then serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispy tops, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning. The cranberry mustard can be made up to 3 days in advance. Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes or in an air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
