This easy small-batch witches’ brew green punch is a quick, 10-minute recipe perfect for Halloween or cozy fall nights. Made with limeade, citrus juices, and mint, it’s a crowd-pleasing, naturally vegan and gluten-free drink that serves 4-6.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • Green food coloring (gel works best)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill pitcher or serving bowl)
  • Optional for garnish: Fresh mint sprigs, lime slices, and gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Pour the thawed limeade concentrate into a large pitcher. Add the cold water and stir until the concentrate is completely dissolved (about 30 seconds).
  2. Add the pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and fresh lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add the mint extract one drop at a time, tasting as you go. Start with 1/2 teaspoon and adjust to preference.
  4. In a small bowl, mix a few drops of green food coloring with a tablespoon of water to prevent streaks. Pour into the pitcher and stir. Add more coloring gradually until desired shade is reached (start with 4-5 drops).
  5. Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  6. Just before serving, pour in the lemon-lime soda and stir gently. Add ice cubes.
  7. Pour into glasses over ice. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs, lime slices, and gummy worms if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, chill the base for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld. Add soda and ice just before serving to keep it fizzy. The base can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance. For a spiked version, add 1 cup white rum or vodka. For a lighter version, use diet soda and sugar-free limeade. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; add a splash of fresh soda to restore fizz.
