A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip with a cool ranch drizzle, perfect for game day or any party. Ready in 30 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Soften the cream cheese (microwave in 10-second bursts if needed). Place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add sour cream, buffalo hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the cream cheese. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken until evenly coated.
  5. Reserve 1/4 cup cheddar for topping. Fold remaining cheddar and all mozzarella into the chicken mixture.
  6. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle reserved cheddar on top.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes until bubbly and golden. Optionally broil for 2 minutes for a browner top.
  8. While baking, make ranch drizzle: combine ranch dressing, dried chives, and a pinch of garlic powder. Transfer to a squeeze bottle or zip-top bag.
  9. Let dip cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle ranch in a zigzag pattern. Garnish with extra chives if desired.

Notes

Let dip cool for 5 minutes after baking to thicken. For a browner top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Do not overbake to avoid dryness.
