Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (40g) rolled oats
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice (e.g., unsweetened almond milk)
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or airtight container, combine the dry ingredients: 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1 tablespoon chia seeds (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir to break up any clumps.
  2. Add the wet ingredients: 1/2 cup milk, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  3. Mix thoroughly until the protein powder is fully dissolved and the peanut butter is evenly distributed. Use a small whisk or fork to ensure no clumps remain.
  4. Seal the jar with a lid and shake well. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with sliced banana, extra peanut butter, chopped peanuts, or dark chocolate chips. Serve cold.

Notes

For best texture, use rolled oats (not instant or steel-cut). If using plant-based protein powder that is very absorbent, add an extra tablespoon or two of milk. Let peanut butter come to room temperature or microwave for 10 seconds to soften for easier mixing. Add fresh toppings in the morning to prevent browning or sogginess. Oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
