These crispy caramel apple nachos with toffee bits are a quick and easy dessert that combines crunchy apple slices, warm caramel, and buttery toffee for a crowd-pleasing treat perfect for fall gatherings or any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (thick, from baking aisle)
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits (Heath or Skor)
  • Optional: flaky sea salt, chopped pecans or walnuts, white chocolate drizzle, whipped cream
  • Optional extra: 1 tablespoon sugar + 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Wash and dry apples. Core and slice into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. Keep slices even.
  3. Arrange apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, slightly touching but not overlapping.
  4. Melt butter and brush lightly over both sides of each apple slice.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the apple slices.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden and starting to crisp. Check after 10 minutes.
  7. Let cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes to continue crisping.
  8. Transfer crispy apple slices to a serving plate. Drizzle generously with caramel sauce.
  9. Sprinkle toffee bits evenly over the caramel.
  10. Add optional toppings like flaky sea salt, nuts, or white chocolate drizzle.
  11. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

Slice apples evenly for uniform cooking. Watch the oven closely after 10 minutes to prevent burning. Serve immediately for best crispness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days but will lose crispness.
