These adorable no-bake mummy treats are made with crispy rice cereal, marshmallows, and white chocolate. They come together in under 20 minutes and are perfect for Halloween parties, spooky movie nights, or any festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (plus extra for greasing)
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 2 cups white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
  • Candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides. Lightly grease the parchment and exposed sides with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour in the Rice Krispies cereal and fold gently until all cereal is coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Using a lightly greased spatula or hands, press evenly into the pan without pressing too hard.
  6. Let cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until fully set.
  7. Lift the block out using the parchment overhang and place on a cutting board. Cut into 2×3-inch rectangles (about 12-16 pieces).
  8. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth (about 1.5-2 minutes).
  9. Dip a fork into the melted white chocolate and drizzle it over each treat in uneven lines to resemble bandages. Leave some of the treat visible.
  10. While the chocolate is still wet, press two candy eyes onto each mummy near the top. Let set on a wax paper-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes (or 5 minutes in the fridge).

Notes

For best results, use fresh mini marshmallows and real white chocolate (with cocoa butter). If using standard white chocolate chips, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to help them melt smoothly. To make gluten-free, use a certified gluten-free crispy rice cereal. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days; do not refrigerate.
