This bubbling, electric green punch is the perfect Halloween party drink. Made with simple ingredients like pineapple juice and limeade, it’s a sweet-tart crowd-pleaser that kids and adults love, and it comes together in just 10 minutes.

  • 1 (2-liter) bottle of lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (0.23-ounce) packet of unsweetened green drink mix (like Kool-Aid, Lemon-Lime or Tropical Punch flavor)
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • Ice (lots of it)
  • Optional for garnish: Gummy worms, plastic spider rings, or carved-out orange ‘cauldrons’ for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the packet of green drink mix into 1 cup of cold water until completely dissolved.
  2. In a large punch bowl or drink dispenser, pour the entire 64-ounce bottle of pineapple juice and the thawed can of limeade concentrate. Stir well to combine.
  3. Pour the dissolved green drink mix into the pineapple-lime mixture and stir again until the color is even.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 24 hours (optional, but flavors meld better).
  5. Right before serving, remove the punch from the fridge and gently pour in the entire 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda. Stir slowly to incorporate without losing carbonation.
  6. Add ice to the bowl. For best results, use a large ice ring or block instead of cubes to prevent dilution.
  7. Serve immediately in cups. Garnish with gummy worms or plastic spider rings if desired.

Notes

For a brighter green color, use two packets of green drink mix. To keep the punch fizzy, add the soda and ice just before serving. Make an ice ring with gummy worms frozen inside for a fun, slow-melting ice option. Leftover juice base can be stored in the fridge for up to a week; add soda and ice when ready to serve. Do not reheat.
