Ingredients

  • Brie (8 oz)
  • Aged Cheddar (6 oz)
  • Goat Cheese Log (4 oz)
  • Manchego (6 oz)
  • Prosciutto (4 oz)
  • Salami (4 oz)
  • Soppressata (4 oz)
  • Honeycrisp Apples (2)
  • Bartlett Pears (2)
  • Dried Figs (1 cup)
  • Red Grapes (1 cup)
  • Pomegranate Seeds (½ cup)
  • Marcona Almonds (½ cup)
  • Honeycomb (2 oz)
  • Crackers (2 cups)
  • Baguette (1 small)
  • Honey (2 tbsp)
  • Fresh Rosemary Sprigs (2-3)
  • Fresh Thyme Leaves (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Take the cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Wash and slice your fruit. Core the apples and pears, then slice them into thin wedges. Rinse the grapes and leave them in small clusters. Cut the dried figs in half lengthwise.
  3. Prep the meats. Slice salami and soppressata into thin rounds. Separate prosciutto slices into loose ribbons.
  4. Place your small bowls on the board first. Add Marcona almonds to one bowl, pomegranate seeds to another, and honeycomb to a third.
  5. Place the cheese around the board, cutting some into slices or wedges. Leave the brie whole. Cut manchego into thin triangles, cheddar into small cubes, and leave goat cheese log whole or slice into rounds.
  6. Drape the prosciutto in loose folds near one corner. Fan out salami and soppressata slices in a line or small pile.
  7. Add apple and pear slices in small clusters around the cheese and meat. Tuck dried fig halves between cheese wedges. Scatter grape clusters in empty spaces.
  8. Arrange crackers and baguette slices in small groups around the board.
  9. Right before serving, drizzle honey over the brie or goat cheese. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the goat cheese. Tuck rosemary sprigs between cheese and fruit.
  10. Step back and admire. Fill any empty spaces with extra grapes, crackers, or almonds.

Notes

Take cheese out of fridge 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Prep all ingredients before arranging to prevent fruit from oxidizing. Use a damp paper towel under bowls to prevent sliding. A pinch of flaky sea salt over goat cheese or honeycomb enhances flavors. Make extra as boards disappear fast.
