These quick honey garlic salmon bites are a 15-minute dinner rescue, featuring caramelized salmon cubes coated in a sticky, sweet-savory glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights, this simple recipe uses basic ingredients and is a certified crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 to 1.5 pounds salmon fillet (skinless preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or low-sodium)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the salmon: Place salmon on a cutting board, remove any pin bones, and cut into 1 to 1.5-inch cubes. Pat very dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  3. Heat the pan: Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  4. Sear the salmon: Carefully place salmon cubes in a single layer in the skillet. Cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until golden-brown crust forms. Flip each piece.
  5. Add butter: Add butter to the pan, letting it melt around the salmon. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add the glaze: Pour honey garlic sauce over the salmon. Stir gently to coat. Let sauce bubble and reduce for 1-2 minutes until thickened and glossy. Salmon should be cooked through and flake easily.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or sliced green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat salmon very dry for best sear. Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed. Watch heat to prevent honey from burning. Salmon is done when it flakes easily (internal temp 145°F). Leftovers keep in fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in skillet with a splash of water.
