This Easy 3-Ingredient Peppermint Bark Fudge is a creamy, rich holiday treat made with chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and crushed candy canes. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for gift-giving and holiday parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes (about 810 regular-sized candy canes)

Instructions

  1. Prep your pan. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches of overhang on two opposite sides. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray if desired.
  2. Crush your candy canes. Place unwrapped candy canes in a sturdy Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or heavy pan until you have a mix of fine powder and small chunks (about pea-sized). Set aside 2 tablespoons for the top.
  3. Combine the chocolate and condensed milk. Pour chocolate chips and entire can of sweetened condensed milk into a medium saucepan over low heat.
  4. Stir constantly with a rubber spatula until the mixture is smooth and glossy, about 5-7 minutes. Do not walk away.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the crushed candy canes (reserving 2 tablespoons). Stir just until evenly distributed, about 15 seconds.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer with the spatula.
  7. Sprinkle the reserved 2 tablespoons of crushed candy canes on top and gently press them into the surface.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or 3 hours to be safe) until firm. For a quicker set, freeze for about 45 minutes.
  9. Once firm, use the parchment handles to lift the fudge out of the pan. Place on a cutting board and cut into 1-inch squares (about 64 pieces) with a sharp knife. Wipe the knife clean between cuts for neat edges.

Notes

Use low heat to prevent chocolate from seizing. For clean cuts, run the knife under hot water and wipe dry between cuts. The fudge flavor improves after a day or two in the fridge. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
